08/05/2020 Happy VE Day! H W Wilson hopes everyone manages to celebrate somehow the 75th Anniversary of one of the proudest days in the nation’s history as it recalls its own contribution to the war effort. The company continued in business throughout the war and was contracted by the Government for repair works. The equivalent of the ‘Green Shirts’ were also seconded to work during the night as part of the Home Guard and performed sentry and fire-watch duties.We remember those who did not live to see VE Day and give thanks to Greatest Generation.
